Petrovits, Patrick, Smith & Company LLC, CPAs is pleased to announce that Kariann McDougall, a staff accountant with the firm, has recently completed all parts of the Uniform Certified Public Accountant examination and the AICPA Professional Ethics for CPAs exam to earn her CPA license! Congratulations Kariann!!
To give one an idea of how big an achievement this is, just imagine acquiring a master’s degree (or equivalent 150 credit hours) before taking four, 3-4 hour long exams within an 18 month period in the areas of Auditing and Attestation, Financial Accounting and Reporting, Regulation, and Business Environment and Concepts. And each of those exams requires approximately 75 hours of studying! Following successful completion of those exams, pass a professional ethics exam with a score of 90 or better and gain two years of experience under the supervision of a CPA to qualify to be considered a licensed CPA.
We are excited with Kariann for this great accomplishment and are honored to have her as part of the PPSC, LLC team.
